The Bachelor - Fantasy Leagues

As Fantasy Football winds to a close (which if you don't currently participate in I would highly recommend) my polar opposite guilty pleasure show rolls back around.  Although in the past I tended to do some major fast forwarding, last year I started a Bachelor Fantasy League which has added an interesting twist and some fun competition!  There are a ton of different types of leagues out there and I have used 3 different formats.  Whether you are an avid fan or a casual viewer leagues are a fun way to make the show a little more interactive.  Below you will find the sites I've used before and the pros and watch outs (in my opinion) to each.  Happy watching!

  • Bracket League (think March Madness Style):
    • Website: The Bachelor Bracket
    • You can choose the format of your league (either you fill out your entire bracket before the season or you update week by week)
    • Pros: You can choose your format to fit what your group wants to do, there is no cap on the number of players
    • Watch Outs: You only get points for your selections moving on (no points for other activities), in the beginning you have to make a lot of selections (i.e. week 1 you have to choose 19 girls to move on)
  • Elimination League:
    • Website: BuddyTV
    • Each week you pick 3 girls who you think will be eliminated
    • Pros: You rank the 3 girls you think will be eliminated each week 1-3 and get different levels of points depending on the rank you gave them if correct
    • Watch Outs: Close to the end the winner was basically locked when I played (the early weeks ended up mattering a lot), you only get points for your selections moving on, you can see the other players selections (so you could copy)
  • Fantasy Football Style League:
    • Website: Fantasy4Reality
    • You draft a set team before the season begins and they rack up points for you based on a set list of activities
    • Pros: You don't have to remember to update your choices every week, there are tons of things you get points for so it makes it fun to cheer for your team, leaders change a lot week to week
    • Watch Outs: All of your team members could be out early in the season giving you no chance to win, there is a cap on the number of players you can have in a league
Until next time,

Emily
